What exactly is HarrenaPay?

HarrenaPay is an escrow-secured payment platform for Nigerian commerce. When a buyer pays, the money is held in escrow — not sent to the seller — and released only when delivery is completed and confirmed. It protects buyers from fraud and sellers from fake payments and false claims.

How is this different from a normal bank transfer?

A transfer is instant and irreversible — once it lands, your money is gone, whatever happens next. With HarrenaPay, the money is locked in the middle: the seller can see it's real but can't touch it until you've received what you paid for.

Where is my money held during an escrow?

In your HarrenaPay escrow wallet, secured with our licensed partner bank. Funds stay locked until you confirm release or a dispute is resolved.

What happens if my order never arrives?

You open a dispute in the app. The money stays locked while we review evidence from both sides — including delivery status and completion records. If the seller can't show confirmed delivery, your money is returned.

Orders move through a tracked delivery process, and delivery is completed and confirmed through the approved flow. Delivery status and completion records are available if a dispute is raised. It protects buyers from non-delivery and sellers from false 'it never arrived' claims.

How fast do sellers get paid?

The moment delivery is confirmed, escrow releases to the seller's wallet — typically the same day as delivery. From there it can be withdrawn to any Nigerian bank or sent free to other HarrenaPay users.

On the free Starter plan: buyers pay a 1% sender fee (minimum ₦100, maximum ₦5,000); sellers pay a 0.5% receiver fee (minimum ₦50, maximum ₦2,500). Growth and Business plans lower both sides. Wallet-to-wallet transfers are free. Bank withdrawals show one payout-fee total (₦15.75 / ₦39.38 / ₦78.75 by amount tier). The full schedule is on our pricing page.

How does the referral program work?

Share your referral link from Settings. When someone you refer completes their first escrow on HarrenaPay, you earn 5% of HarrenaPay's service fee on that transaction — credited toward your future escrow fees. They must enter your code during signup; referral codes cannot be added afterward.

Is HarrenaPay itself legit? Who are you?

HarrenaPay is a product of Harrena Africa Synergy Ltd, in partnership with Lantid Creative Ltd (RC 7215558), both registered in Nigeria. Lantid Creative Ltd is registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as a data controller and processor (NDPC/DCP/12238). We're not a bank — we run the escrow agreement, dispute process, and release layer. Customer escrow funds are held in dedicated wallets, secured with our licensed partner bank, separate from our operating money, and we publish exactly what we charge.

What is the Trust Score?

A 0–100 reputation score every user builds from verified transactions — deliveries, dispute history, response times. Buyers can see a seller's badge (New, Rising, Trusted, Harrena Verified Pro) before paying. It can be earned, but never bought.

Can I use HarrenaPay for my Instagram or WhatsApp shop?

Yes — that's exactly what it's built for. Create a seller account, share your payment link in any chat or bio, and buyers pay into escrow without leaving the conversation where the sale happened.

Does HarrenaPay work outside Nigeria?

Not yet. HarrenaPay currently operates in Nigeria only, in Naira. Expanding across Africa is our ambition, and we'll announce each market when we actually launch there — we don't claim what we haven't shipped.

What happens in a dispute if we disagree?

Both sides submit evidence — order details, chats, payment records, and delivery status. Our resolution team decides based on the records, and the funds are released, refunded, or split accordingly. Return shipping follows fault: seller's error, seller pays; buyer's mistake, buyer pays.
